  I don't know who, if anyone, makes such a complete kit, that's why I 
DIY. Heck, I never found anything on the truck indicating that it has a 
"tow kit", so spliced into the wiring where I needed to.

You need 10 Ga. wire for 30 amps, 12 for 20 amps. Standard trailer 
wiring cable has either a #10 for ground and a #12 for the Charge line, 
or #10 for both, depending on where you buy it. When I wire a vehicle, I 
connect 25' of cable to the connector, seal the rear with silicone as 
well as I can, then install the connector on the truck, make a loop of 
cable to faclitate connector replacement WHEN it becomes necessary, then 
route the remainder along the frame, up to a junction box on the LH 
inner fender. All the wires from the truck are then routed to and 
connected in the junction box. This box comes from NAPA, has 7 binding 
posts, strain relief clamps, etc. It's meant for this purpose, more or 
less; I think it might be designed to be used on semi-trailers.

Your relay should be able to handle more than 20 or 30 amps because of 
the possible high surge from a 'low' trailer battery. That's why I use 
the "solenoid" type of relay; it's not real expensive anyway.

I think the lighter socket is switched; the other socket definitely is. 
Even my heavy-duty relay draws only 1 amp or less to power the coil, so 
almost any ACC source should be OK.
