Re: [A/S] Dodge Ram 7 Pin Connector
Jim,
I've seen their kits, even in Wal-Mart stores I think.
Does Hoppy make a kit to provide appropriate wiring from truck sources to
the seven pin connector on trucks that were not equipped with factory towing
packages? I'm pretty sure I remember seeing such a kit somewhere.
What gauge wire is required for a 20 amp circuit? ....... for 30 amps? I
could purchase a 20 amp or 30 amp relay and locate a switched, low-current
source in my truck to operate it. I wonder if the cigarette lighter is a
switched circuit? I only use that outlet for charging cell phone batteries
when driving. I could run a heavy gauge wire direct from the battery
through the 20 or 30 amp relay then back to the seven pin connector
replacing the factory harness wire to pin # 4.
