Re: [VAC] Your Y2K Directory.

Jim,
It sounds like your gas regulator has packed it in; mine did the same
thing on our first trip out.

Replacement regulator/switcher combination units are available from
Camping World (http://www.campingworld.com) or your local propane
supplier for about $30.00. While you're at it, replace the metal lines
to and from the switcher/regulator with hoses. My trailer had steel
lines from the tanks to the switcher and a flexible metal
accordion-style line from the regulator to the copper line that goes
under the trailer. The former allow no flexibility in connection, and
the latter is subject to breakage from vibration. Again, your local
propane supplier can fix you up with fittings and hoses. If you've
switched your tanks to the OPD valves, you can get the pigtail hoses
with connectors for the new valves that go over the external threads and
can be easily tightened/loosened by hand.
