Re: [VAC] help!!!

Marlaine,
Do the present owners have the actual trailer hitch that plugs into the
'receiver' on the vehicle? If so, you only need to have a Class III
hitch installed on your vehicle. You may have to have the height
adjusted on the trailer hitch to get the trailer level.

If you'll go to AskJeeves (http://www.aj.com) and do a search for
'trailer hitches', you'll have plenty of sites to check out. People here
have mentioned U-Haul from time to time as a good place to get a hitch
installed on your vehicle, but most any RV place should be able to help.

Bear in mind that there are several manufacturers of weight-distributing
hitches, and the pieces/parts must match up. That means that you'll need
the same kind of hitch as the bars on the trailer. Lacking that, you can
certainly buy new bars and snap-over brackets with a new hitch. That
stuff is available on the used market also.
