[A/S] Trailer tire speed rating

This may be nonsense.  But I have now heard from two people (non-
Airstreamers) who tow SOB's and tell me that they will not exceed 55 
mph with their trailers because trailer tires are not rated to exceed 
55 mph at highway speeds.

It was news to me, and I just wondered if anyone has any information 
or opinion about this.

The last two trips I went as fast as 70 mph with Michelin XCA's on 
the Excella.  Did not seem to heat up.  To the touch they seemed to 
be as hot (or cool) as the tow vehicle BFGoodrich Long Trail tires.

But I am new to this Bought Excella in July. Prior experience with 
COleman pupup (20 years) does not count.

So now is the time to find out if I am going too fast.
