Dear Michael,
I love my 67 22ft Safari and would recommend keeping the woodwork and
cabinets original and replacing the appliances. Many try to stay
original with everything but I prefer having the luxury of appliances
that always work! I went to Camping World and had them replace my stove,
air conditioner, hot water heater, refrigerator and added an outside
antennae. (Batwing) This is admittedly VERY expensive and it depends on
how much you want to invest in it. But  Camping World had all the stuff
I needed on sale and combined with the coupon offers that they have and
being a Presidents Club member it wasn't as bad as it could have been! 
Mine came with the cushions already replaced but you can take the
originals to somewhere that does chair and couch cushions to have them
make similar ones. The rest of the work is a labor of love! I've done
most of the plumbing myself and I took out three layers of linolium and
redid the foor with scrap leftover from a flooring place. You'll get
hooked real fast and really get into it! Best of luck and fun!
