[A/S] What NOT to forget

Dear Friends,

My wife, kids and I  were going camping once and as we looked over our
check-list we decided to leave the steaks in the fridge until the last
minute so they would stay nice and cold. Some hours later we pulled up to
our camp-site, put up the tent-trailer and discovered that, yes, we had
never loaded the steaks. Since then we always go over a mental and
sometimes-written check-list of special things not to forget (based
partially on previous things we DID forget.)

What are yours? Do you clever and insightful folks have some tips and/or
personal stories that would help the rest of us forgetful folks remember
what NOT to forget as we prepare to go down the driveway on trips? Our
personal list includes meat in the fridge, pillows, matches, paper-back
books and flashlights.
