I believe there is still a segment of the population who will not purchase a 
diesel and will continue to look for a gas engine that will deliver for 
their needs.  While diesel power is great, many will not want the extra 
expense on the front end especially if it is combined with a penalty at the 
pump.  More mpg may not even figure into the equation if the other two areas 
are not lowered.
