[A/S] Fw: questions from a new AS owner

I've had my 1969 Overlander for only 2 weeks. Have manuals and I am mechanical, but I
still have questions.

1. Where is the best place to buy an IP to replace my Univolt?

2. What kind (and source) of water pump should I buy. Mine is actually belt driven!
Leaks too.

3. I have a broken lens to a ceiling fixture. The same light has burnt wires in it,
so I discarded the "guts". Source for a replacement?

4. Did I make a mistake in buying an AS? The hail problem here in the Midwest scares
me to death. I'm buying the lowest comprehensive policy I can find. Maybe this will help.

5. Would you recommend Foremost or Miller's insurance. Miller's is the cheapest at $147
per year. I've never bought insurance via the mail. Is it a safe thing to do? (Claim
adjustment, service etc?)

6. My univolt has places for 4 fuses on it, but only one is connected. It powers the
fuse block in the trunk, but it blows the fuse connected to the biggest hot wire
whenever the battery is connected. Needless to say, it isn't charging the battery. Yes,
I'll replace the univolt, but I'm still curious about why the other fuse locations are
blank. Any clues?

7. I'd like to put a heat strip in the Coleman ac. How hard? Price? Source?

8. What's this about the tail drag/frame reinforcement/replacement axles? Should I be
concerned? Will my tail start drooping eventually? (Actually as a retired teacher of 33
years, my tail started drooping years ago).

9. RV Today on tv showed a vent that would automatically close when it started raining,
but I've not been able to locate one.

These forums have really helped me. Keep up the communication. It's good for us all.
Thanks.
