Re: [A/S] Fw: questions from a new AS owner
Don,
1. Shop around. The Intellipower's are available at many RV stores
2. Your original PAR pump was/is a premium pump. The typical replacement these days
is the ShurFlo 2088 series. It is a lower longer pump that will fit in the same space.
The electrical will wire up directly to the existing wires. The ShurFlo pump has it's
fittings on opposite sides and they are 1/2". The old PAR has the fittings on one side
and they are 5/8". It is usually possible to simply crimp down on the clamps and get a
tight fit.
3. There is no complete replacement incandescent fixture. ThinLite makes a round
fluorescent fixture that looks much like the original. It is possible to rebuilt the
original with new wire and switch and get a new lens from Inland RV.
4. Of course not. The easy answer is to store it under shelter. Then the risk is only
when you are using it.
5. I use State Farm.
7. As the Coleman is not original to your year coach it may depend on the model number
of the AC unit. Most models can have a heat strip added. Unless it's to old.
8. Tail droop etc. was a problem of the longer coaches starting in 1973 with the
addition of a gray water holding tank.
9. That is the Fan-tastic vent. There are several models including the deluxe one which
has a rain sensor to close the lid. They are commonly available at RV accessory sources.
