[A/S] I'm new and know nothing

Hello All,
    I have been on the list for about a week now and have really enjoyed it.  My 
husband and I bought a 1965 Airstream Globe Trotter the weekend before last.  We 
have always thought that they are sooo cool looking.  When we saw this one for sale 
we ran out and got it.  Needless to say we don't know anything about trailers or 
Airstream (other than they are soooo cool).  We have managed to tow it home without 
incident and backed it into the backyard with very little screaming and freaking out 
(by me).  The interior is all original.  We need to get new foam and all the interior 
stuff.  The oven is said not to work but I haven't had the nerve to let my husband 
try it yet.  All the lights work and they all have their covers.  So that is about 
all we know.  I have gotten some books from the library to try and figure out the 
battery and how that works and what we need to do to get it working but haven't 
figured it out yet.  I have checked out all of the AirStream sites but I kinda feel 
they are all one step ahead of me.  Does anyone have any websites for true beginers 
or books?  Also, the numbers on the front of my airstream have been changed, are 
those numbers some sort of membership number for the Wally B. Club?  I haven't 
joined yet but assume that it is a neccessity, right?  Lastly, I have seen mention 
on some of the sites talking about the serial numbers on the plate next to the door.  
What should I be looking for there and what does it mean? Sorry that is a lot to 
begin with but I have been dying to know but have been nervous to ask because they 
are such beginner questions.
