My wife and I are also new to Airstreaming and RVs in general.

I found an old copy (1991) of Bill Estes' book, The RV Handbook, very
informative on general RV systems management and "how this thingie works."

Try Ebay to find one. Try to get an older one, so it represents your
Airstream more closely, but perhaps will talk about what the current
technology is.
