Original plywood subfloor will be sufficient for parquet if in good shape.
Important to use an adhesive or mastic that has some flexibility even after
drying. I fear a brittle adhesive may pop parquet tiles loose if the
subfloor or frame flex in use. Franklin 711 or 811 are two good choices that
should be available in most areas through a wood flooring contractor or
supplier. (711 is solvent based, not flammable but stinky) their site:

I have also seen many listees express pleasure with their laminate floor
applications. Pergo or Formica are 2 well known brands. These are not real
wood floors but tougher versions of counter type laminates usually bonded to
mdf planks. Some are more susceptible to moisture than others but most are
very indentation and scratch resistant. They are usually "floating"
installations and not attached to the subfloor. The tongue and groove are
glued or clipped together and the floor is laid over a 1/8" foam underlay. A
quarter round or other molding will likely need to be applied to cover
required expansion space at walls and cabinets.

Keep the weight of the products in mind. thinner products will also give you
a smoother transition to other flooring materials. Oak parquet 3/8" thick
weighs about 1.25 lb / sq ft. 3/4 inch strip wood flooring must be nailed
down and is not as stable as many engineered (layered plywood type) products
available. Engineered wood floors are usually 3/8" to 1/2" thick. and under
2 lbs/ sq ft.
