         What bank do you use?  All banks that I have checked have a charge 
- typically $5.95/month, with a limit on the number of bills paid in this 
amount - for paying bills electronically.  It's not an exorbitant amount.
         I have free electronic banking for checking my balances (and for 
transferring funds between accounts, if I ever needed to do that), but that 
service is distinct from full-service electronic banking.  If your bank 
does it for free, that's great!
         Anyhow, our main problem is determining how much to pay.  Pearl 
Main tells me that it's not all that difficult to track all your spending, 
then send a little extra to be sure; and, using the creditor's 800 numbers, 
one can call toll free to find out how much to pay for many creditors.  We 
may consider that method, too.
