[a/s] Winding Awning Springs

Carl was with the guy at Conibears when he installed a new spring for our awning.The
mechanic kept the arm attached to the spring. There were 16 clockwise full turns of
the arm to load the spring ( he found the info in the Carefree shop manual). The
spring installed was totally different from the spring that had been there
previously but we were able to keep the original roller tube (21 ft) & awning mat'l.
I imagine it must be different depending on size of awning. The mechanic had a hell
of a time because of the tension even tho the arm on our awning is long.
