So far, my old antenna is still working.  However, I have learned 
from reading some messages on this topic that pulling new coax into 
the trailer is nearly impossible.

When people replace the old antenna with a bat wing, the new coax is 
usually run down thru the refer vent on the roof.  The old twin lead 
cable is abandoned in place.

If I were you, I would consider tracking down that broken gear and 
replacing it.  Cheaper, and probably less work.
