Gil,
A few people have report some success starting a 13,500 BTU AC on a single
EU2000, but that was at lower altitudes.  As you go up in altitude all
engines output less power.  Also, a starting compressor can momentarily pull
twice or more the run amps, so that is why Dometic states that a 30amp
supply is required for a 13,500BTU unit.  With two EU2000s, you are home
free as there is plenty of power, but trying to get by with a single EU2000
is going to be a hit or miss proposition.  BTW, the overwhelming majority of
the startup load is the compressor as it has to work against head pressure
(ie the refrigerant being compressed) while the blower spins up almost
instantly.  

The other factor is that with a single EU2000, to even have the slightest
chance at starting a 13,500BTU AC, you would have to turn off the
eco-throttle and run the genset at full power all the time.  This is because
if the eco-throttle has the engine at idle and the AC kicks in, the genset
does not have sufficient time to throttle up before shutting down due to
overload. With two units, there is sufficient reserve for both to ramp up
during the initial moments without overloading.
