For the Honda EU2000i it is, indeed.

That genset is rated at 1600 watts and 2000 surge.

My Dometic Brisk Air air conditioner's control dial has a fan-only
selection.  I can turn on the fan and, once it is running, turn the selector
to "cool" which will start the compressor.

Another way to "stagger" these startup items is to turn the thermostat WAAAY
high so that the compressor does NOT start with the fan.  Once the fan is
running, you can adjust DOWN the thermostat until the compressor starts.
