I'm now needing to do the first oil change on my '05 F-250 PSD and am
needing to reopen an old discussion on what is better for insuring long life
to diesel engines - that of regular oil vs. synthetic? I'd appreciate the
input of this group of knowledgeable folks, the sooner the better! Does the
synthetic really protect the engine enough to justify the additional cost?
Any brand or manufacturer proven superior? I used Shell Oil's Rotella brand
on my previous diesel.
