[A/S] Re: Oil Change Suggestions?
Hello Jim, I talked to a Dodge diesel owner in Florida and he used
Amsoil synthetic oil and filters. He said that all he ever did was
change the filter. Periodicity he would send an oil sample to Amsoil
and have it analyzed. It sounded pretty good to me, you could
probably go there website and get more information. I don't know how
many miles he had on his truck though. I took my Chevy 6.2 Diesel,
when I had it, to the dealer and used what ever they had and it had
285,000 hard used miles on it, when I got rid of it. It never used
anymore oil from day one until the day I sold it. People complained
about t e 6.2 not having enough power, but for some reason the one I
had was a power house and I never done anything to it but run the
crap out of it. The hardest thing on a diesel is lugging it a round
town. they are made to work hard. Check out the Amsoil website,
because if I had to buy as much oil as goes in these new diesels, I
would be trying find a cheap way out. Richard in Southwest Ohio
