Patrica - At the time you posed your question about I-40, I was in
Little Rock AR after having just driven (mostly on I40) fromFt. Smith,
AR.  There were a few spots between Ft. Smith and Conway that have not
been redone yet and they are still pretty washboardy.  At about mile
marker 118 we encountered stopped eastbound bumper to bumper traffic. 
It took over an hour to go eight miles.  We got off at the first
Conway exit and finished our trip to Little Rock on alternate highways
(i.e. 365).  The delay was due to the construction in the Conway
area.  We also travel to Oklahoma City a lot and I-40 between
Henryetta and OKC has some pretty rough spots both east and
westbound.  At least they are not working on these (yet).
Just thought you should be warned.
