[A/S] Using a JEEP to tow a small Airstream

Hi all,

I've read all of the old postings where everyone says "get a big pickup
truck if you want to tow a trailer". Here's my deal...I just got a
1998 JEEP Cherokee 4.0 liter straight 6 in October. For Christmas I got
a class III trailer hitch. I haven't done any research on the towing
capacity (I know it's really not a towing vehicle). Do you think I could
safely tow a 16-17 foot trailer with my JEEP?

If so, what kind of Airstream should I be searching for?
If not, what kind of two vehicle should I be looking at? I like my 4
wheel drive, and the JEEP is paid for, so I'd rather not spend more than
$8,500 on a tow vehicle to haul an Airstream.

I'm looking for a small weekend trip type trailer and then maybe also
using it as a mini-office...

Appreciate any thoughts/ideas/comments/criticisms you might have.

Thanks.
