RE: [A/S] Zinc problem

This has been a big topic on the Airstreamforum and on
the Airstream site. It looks like the issues have
pretty much centered on the interior components of the
trailers.

The concentrated effort on improving quality
apparently began with the new builds in October. The
early reports as posted seem to give evidence that
there are improvements. My new Classic was built in
October and I saw it for the first time last weekend.
Although it hasn't been prepped yet, Patty and I went
through the unit and from what we can initialy see the
doors, cabinets, counter tops, and all other interior
componets look good. The only thing I saw was some
trim that wasn't secure that runs outside along the
bottom of the trailer on the curb side. I popped it
back into place.

I had to order a new receiver for my van due to the
heavy hitch weight of the slide out so we won't take
delivery until that comes in.

I'm fairly confident that your unit in March will
reflect the improved quality standards. Things were
getting pretty shoddy for a bit.

Jack
