[A/S] bearings and brakes

Yesterday I got my 1970 AS 27 ft International back from the repair 
shop.
I took it in to have the breaks fixed as they did not work well and to 
repack
the bearings.
The work was done well but I was told that the Magnets were worn down
and they replaced them.
The shop had a hard time finding a set of Magnets for my unit and I was
lucky to find parts..
Has anyone else had this trouble with the Dexter Breaks?
