Re: [A/S] A/C - A continuing saga

Howdy all;

Well, as I posted last month, we are on our 4th
Dometic 13.5 heat pump on our '00 31' Excella. This
one was installed before we left on vacation.

I talked with Dometic and they said it could be the
wiring. I talked with Jackson Center, and they said
it was either a problem with Dometic, or I was using
too many other appliances while the compressor was
trying to cool. They also suggested I travel to
cooler climates to vacation in.

So, now we are in Nashville, IN and it has never
gotten above 94 the week we have been here. It was
hotter in Eureka Springs, AK - but not much. The last
two days the A/C has tripped the breaker switch.
After flipping it back on, the compressor worked on
until the next day. Both times it happened there were
no other appliances on except for the fridge. Not
even a light.

The RV park we are in is an older park, and full to
the rim. I'm not an electrician so I don't know what
to poke or pry. When the park wasn't full there was
no problem. The other campers have not encountered
similar experiences, and the park owner says his
hook-ups are just fine, thank you very much.

We leave Tuesday for the Nashville in Tennessee, and
then southward until we arrive back in Texas.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated because my
wife says we're going to stop and buy a SOB on the way
home. I think she's just frustrated, but you never
know. Should I go ahead and change out the breaker
switch? Any voodoo or other potions that could be
offered to the A/C gods to placate them and sate their
devilish sense of humor.

Thanks,

Tom May
