[A/S] Re: brakes and shocks

I also have a 99/GMC C2500/454 Suburban. I had the front brakes 
replaced at 25K miles. I ordered Praise brake pads that cost $106.00 
installed. Several people on the Suburban site highley recommends 
them. They were about twice the price of other brands & I don't 
think they are any better. I now have 42K miles & every thing seem 
to be okay. I do adjust the rear shoes about every 5K miles due to 
the adjusters don't work very well & will cause the front pads to 
ware out early. Thats another Suburban board recommendtion. I wonder 
if those life time warranty shops do use cheap parts also. I thought 
the only life time warranty is on the shoes & pads only. Is that 
correct?  Some of those parts really don't cost much, so I haven't 
gone for that warranty.
