[A/S] batteries
Good afternoon all, we bought our 1989 Excella 29 last summer and used
it as a lake cabin, the only towing we did was to the lake and back.
The batteries were shot so I removed them, taped the cables and ran on
shore power until late in the summer. I installed new batteries, towed
it home, removed the batteries and kept them on a trickle charger all
winter. Now in getting ready for summer I installed the batteries and
decided I should check the charging line from the truck. I got the truck
manual out and my volt meter and I am not getting any charge at the
plug. We have a 1997 Dodge with a factory hitch and 7 way plug and I
assumed that it would be wired to charge the trailer, any idea if that
is a poor assumption on my part? I cannot find a fuse or breaker under
the hood or in the fuse block labeled as dedicated to the 7 way plug.
All lights work at the trailer. Any suggestions before I take it to
the local Dodge dealer?
Thanks
