[A/S] length to own

in reading some posting concerning length of a/s to own, there seemed 
to be concensus that no being over 30' was good because of problems 
w/ national parks, small rv parks, etc not being able to deal with 
over 30'
can some of the people who have been on the road for a long time 
comment on this, such as hunter. 
we are looking to travel husband,wife, one disabled 25yr. son. i 
understand the largest is 34' so would the lost of 4' be that great 
or would the access to more places and easier manuvering be of more 
value.  does a/s make a 30' or is 28' the closest to 30'
