I have had a Banks on my 454 Motor Home for 3 years.  Easy decision
approach:

1. Developed exhaust manifold leak which required new manifolds.

2.  Waited 7 months and muffler started to leak requiring new exhaust
system.

The cost of both of these easily justified the Banks which was only slightly
more expensive.  It is a different engine with the Banks.  Increased torque
and horsepower.  I have no way of measuring however I go up hills in third
gear that use to require first gear.  Significantly more pick-up in passing
and I can easily take an 18 wheeler.  Really noticeable when I am towing a
car.
