I am towing a 1978 28' Ambassador.  I am still in the
decision making process of whether to upgrade to a 3/4
ton suburban (newer as well) or stick with my old '92.
 We have 136,000 miles on it and it continues to run
great...uses no oil.  My problem is a torque converter
gone bad and a transmission replacement is needed.  I
have been researching the pros and cons of a 1/2 ton
vs. a 3/4 ton suburban (with lots of great advice from
this list...thanks!). I am thinking that if I can get
a bit more power on the hills and a better hitch set
up that the 1/2 ton will be fine and I will replace
the transmission.  I will let you know what I find out
on the Banks Power thing.
