[A/S] Re: length to own

You can see pictures, floorplans, and specs here and here:

http://www.airstream.com

http://www.thorindustries.com

You can even do a virtual tour of some models at the latter site.

Both the model 30 and 31 are 31'. The model 34 is 34'10".
The next size down is the model 28, which is really 29'!

We wanted the dinette as extra counter space when cooking AND the
wider wardrobe AND the bathroom not split across the hall, so we
opted for the 34, which with 5-6' of tongue and Hensley hitch, and a
21' truck, will be over 60' long. I'm not a fan of slide-outs, which
to me are just something else to go wrong/leak, etc, and preclude
using the trailer at truck stops or parking lots.

We've yet to pick it up, and have no experience with it, but plan to
fuel up at truck stops rather than service stations designed for
cars, and look for campgrounds that advertise support for "big rigs"
and offer pull-throughs whenever possible.

Keep in mind, we'll be full-timin' in this, so the extra 4' is worth
it in our case.

Hope this helps!
