I know that a lot of you would want the light to work just to keep the 
Airstream look the same. However, the clock on the microwave, the clock on 
the TV, a clock plugged into the 115VAC outlet are all indicators of the AC 
being on. IMHO these work for me and I don't have to see the little red light.
