[A/S] Cataletic Heaters

I just had a small Olympian Cataletic heater installed in my 1979 31 
ft. International and I have some questions.
Does anyone use one and if so, how do you like it?
In terms of ventilation, what should I have, a roof vent, a roof vent 
and a window etc. The heater is installed just inside the door.
Is a regular carbon monoxide detector all I should have, or should I 
have anything special?
Finally, should I use a propane detector as well?
Thanks so much for your help. we are leaving for vacation in 2 days 
and I want to do the right thing.
