The way to get around a concern for GM diesels and still get a goooood truck 
is to get the 8.1L gas engine with the Allison. Last week I took a customers 
34' about 120 miles North of here. 2,000 ft change in elevation, twisty turn 
2 lane roads. Ran the trip up and back on cruise control except for the 
tight turns. Got 10.8 mpg. I'll be able to buy a lot of gas for the $3500 
the Duramax bumps the price. Not braggin' just facts.
