I'll second that about the 8.1 engine. I have it in my Avalanche 2500, 
and it'll yank my excella anywhere I want to go.Traded my F-250 
Harvester diesel for it and never looked back. Now I know there's fuel 
for me at any exit, and with the mileage I get (almost as good as my 
diesel) and a 37.5 gallon tank, I don't have to stop any more often. And 
for some reason I still haven't figured out, gas is now cheaper than 
diesel fuel.???
