Hey Steve, just a few comments on your recent purchase... first 
congratulations !

Even if you had to replace the entire floor - you still made a wise 
acquisition. I don't know the reason but, leaks in that area are common.  
The good thing is you will be starting out with a "good understanding". If 
pressure treated plywood is available in your area use it.  Even if you have 
no leaks, you will still have a good deal of moisture in your trailer.  
Since the entire structure above the floor is aluminum the drapes, 
upholstery, carpet and wood flooring are the absorbers of all the moisture 
from cooking, showering, etc, etc.

I have friends that have turned "sows ears into silk purses" many times.  My 
Overlander was built in 1972 but with routine care I expect it to continue 
serving my needs for the rest of my life. (which I hope is a long time).  As 
you proceed with your renovation you will witness a symbiotic relationship 
with your Stream.  As you apply energy to bring her back to her full 
wonderful, life she will pitch in and double your efforts.  Just remember - 
anybody can eat an elephant- you just do it one bite at a time.

I bet when you finish your new home, you will be so accustomed to life in 
your Stream, you will sell the house, live in the Airstream and start 
another house -  a contractor is born...
