  If you're new to this (which your message indicates), I have 2 
suggestions:

Get on the Vintage AirStream List by visiting http://www.airstream.net

and:

Go to Tom Patterson's site and search his database. It's at 
http://www.tompatterson.com Tom has archived MANY posts from the Vintage 
List over the years, and there have been MANY discussions on repairing 
floor rot. Good news: not all of the repairs involve tearing 
up/replacing flooring. Hint: a product called Git Rot.
