That mileage is probably correct.  According to the onboard computer, I get
22-24 mpg highway with my '00 F250 7.3 litre engine, but that is with a BD
chip which adds somewhere around 3 mpg to the mileage.  Last year, pulling
the trailer on a several thousand mile trip, I got 16 mpg, although I only
got 14 on my recent Houston-Las Vegas-Houston trip.  We did hit some severe
head winds though.
