We use a 2001 Excursion 4x4 with the PS 7.3 and pull a 2001 excella 30 foot.
Get about 12 mpg on interstate at fast speed and get alot better on two
lanes doing 55. Just plain driving around we average about 17 to 18 mpg. We
only have about 8k miles on it right now so it is not really broken in.

We also have a 1966 Safari but as of yet we have not gotten it updated
enough to pull on trips.

Never have gotten the mileage you state.
