Thanks for your reply.  I'll look into the club aspect also.  And, .... the
sites you sent to me for my Airstream search are very helpful.

The dream is to find an affordable Airstream of the larger size to be towed
behind the Ford Excursion.  Does anyone else use this same vehicle (7.3
liter diesel) 4x4 to tow with?  I'd be very curious to know what kind of
mileage others get under towing conditions.

Recently I was able to "average", according to the onboard computer, 21.2
mpg.  Not bad for a vehicle that weighs in at 8980#.
