We always stay in National Parks when possible.  They
are visually better then a KOA but the hookups are
generally not there.  We have kids and they love being
in a National Park vs. somewhere else because there is
more running around room.  It is also nice not having
to drive much while we are there.  This past summer we
stayed at:
1) Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP
2) Canyonlands NP
3) Grand Canyon NP
Wonderful sites but, again, no hookups.
