I think that's outstanding mileage - so outstanding as to be
suspect.  The values that the on-board computer reports cover only
a small sample of data, selected by the user.  I think a better
number would be to divide all the miles covered using several
tanks of fuel by the fuel purchased.  This would "even out" the
effects of downhill grades, uphill climbs, headwinds, city
traffic, etc.

As for using the Excursion as a tow vehicle, I think that is an
outstanding choice.  Provides secure "inside" storage for
"goodies" that don't fit in the trailer, has good power and
stability for towing, and lots of space for people.
