Scott, the concern expressed by Max not withstanding, the Airstream Service
Manual says to check the gas control valve to be sure there is no dirt
between the valve and valve seat. The manual doesn't describe how that is to
be done. I suppose in less litigious times, Airstream thought they could
service and repair the heaters they installed in their trailers.
