Hi Scott,

I have a '69 Safari with a Suburban furnace.  I've had it apart several
times and reassembled it.  I bought the 1972 service manual from Secretarial
Services and it adequately describes maintenance, repair, and adjustment of
the furnace.

You might just have a bad solenoid valve; however, if you aren't really
mechanically inclined and understand how the furnace works, leave the repair
to a professional!  It sounds like you have a more serious problem than the
burner not functioning properly.
