Jack, the owner's manual that came with my Coleman AC said that a 20 degree
drop across the coils was the design specification. It went on to say that
if that didn't keep the RV cool enough the solution was to close the window
coverings, provide some shade for the coach and/or reduce the inside heat
load (cooking, appliances, people, etc.) or get an AC with greater BTU
output, or install a second AC.

Not very encouraging I thought.
