[A/S] Refrigeration question

Just purchased a 1965 Overlander.  It has a Domestic refer.  It is not 
getting cold while running on 110 volts.  I spoke to a trailer shop, they 
told me to clean the coils on the back, which I did.  In checking the wiring, 
there is juice from the outlet to the thermostat, to the splice and to the 
switch.  I am new to trailers and Airstreams, do the refers make any noise 
like a household unit.  What should I check next?  Any help appreciated.
