John - I recently had my wheel bearings replaced on my 64 Tradewind Twin 
and the tires 700X15 D are tight in the wheel well.  The mechanic had to 
wiggle the tires back and forth to get the out and back in.  Thats because 
the body that makes the shape of the wheel well comes down almost beyond 
1/2 the tire height.
