John, I put a pair of exactly that size and ply on my '66 Safari 22'. They fit nicely with more than sufficient clearance all around. The wheel back spacing is critical to allowing sufficient space but if you are using original A/S wheels, even if cannibalized from a later model, should be correct. Harvey
