[A/S] Tires

Hello,
    I have read all the info on tires.  I have a 1964 Tradewind and 
just bought 7.00 x 15"  8ply D load tires for it.  They look like 
they are going to be very tight in the wheel well. Does any one use 
these on an old 1964 Tradewind and are they supposed to be so close 
to the wheel well?
