Hmmm, I hadn't thought about using sheet metal to reduce the cutout size
from the original larger to the smaller size and then use the original door
etc. to cover the replacement.  The Bowen original door is stainless steel;
however, the vent might have a compatible location.

Your comment about anchoring the unit to the floor is appropriate and I
think necessary.  The old unit was only anchored to the outside skin. and
flex broke the corner seals and allowed exterior water to run inside to the
floor - rot!

I looked at the putty tape, but it seemed too thick to use for attaching the
skin section.  I purchased parbond as recommended by the A/S dealer rather
than vulkem, so I think I'll try the bead of cauld.

If you got a hundred of the Olympia done without the special tool, I'm
confident that I could at least get a couple right for my first 100! :)
